Location: Worcester or Satellite Locations, MA Category: Education Posted On: Fri Dec 1 2017 Job Description: Adjunct instructors teach courses within Computer Systems Engineering Technology disciplines to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area. Courses may be assigned for days, evenings or weekends, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students. Course topics include operating systems, networking technologies and security. Candidates with industry experience and/or certification will be considered. Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings. Job Requirements:Minimum Qualifications: Requires Bachelor’s degree in IT, IS or related field. Interested applicants who may not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.

Preferred Qualifications: (1) Master’s degree and/or related industry experience focused on computing and networking infrastructures including: hardware, operating systems (client and server Windows, Unix, MAC, Android, etc), storage technologies, Internet and network protocols, WANLAN network infrastructure design (home, small business, and enterprise), third-party enterprise software support, network services and supporting software, systems programming scripting, infrastructure security, digital forensics, network management, telecommunications, andor customer support; (2) Understanding of common industry certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, andor Cisco; (3) Teaching/training experience; (4) Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in the curriculum as appropriate; (5) Ability to teach day, evening or weekend classes in more than one campus location. Starting rate of pay is $1,066 per credit hour. Positions are MCCC Unit eligible.
